Mr. Drayton has prepared and prosecuted applications in technology areas including natural language processing, computer security and cryptography, blockchain technology, network communication, cloud computing and SAAS, bioinformatics, internet-of-things engineering, use of RFID and near-field communication, analog and digital power regulation, medical imaging, automated manufacturing, and wearable electronic devices. Prior to joining Caldwell, Mr. Drayton was a patent attorney with an intellectual property firm in Newton, Massachusetts, and served a one-year clerkship with Hon. Cynthia J. Cohen of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.

Before attending law school, Mr. Drayton spent four years as a software engineer at a prominent financial institution. Mr. Drayton’s industry experience and technical background enable him to understand cutting edge technologies and issues affecting inventors in a constantly evolving legal climate.

Micah’s practice includes representing clients before the United States Patent and Trademark Office in the following areas:
