Emily is a Technical Specialist in the field of biotechnology, medical devices and health information technology which spans multiple technologies and applications. Emily assists with all aspects of biotechnology, medical devices and health information technology patent prosecution:

  • Preparation and prosecution of patent applications related to biotechnology, medical devices and health information technology

  • Development and patentability analysis for biotechnology, medical device and health information technology source clients

  • Assisting with Patent Trial and Appeal Board Procedures including interferences, reexamination proceedings, inter partes reviews (IPR), post-grant reviews, ex parte appeals, and other proceedings before the PTAB

  • Patent prosecution strategies for business growth and success


Emily received her Biomedical Engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY. While attaining her degree, Emily worked at Medtronic as a Mechanical Engineering Technician in the Defibrillator and Charts area gaining expertise in medical device manufacturing and performing FDA quality system regulations. Emily has also focused on medical device cyber-security and safety for over 7 years and has published multiple peer-reviewed papers in the industry.
