Experience
Katie works with start-ups and established companies, venture capital firms, and research universities and hospitals. Katie marries a deep scientific and technical background, cutting-edge legal experience and pragmatic business acumen to help clients advance and protect highly complex technologies.
Katie has technical expertise and experience in biologics, immunotherapy, antibody technologies, gene therapy, therapeutic vaccines, small molecule therapeutics, and drug formulations. Katie’s counseling is critical for companies when formulating value driven patent portfolios that help to reach business goals.
Prior to joining Caldwell, Katie performed extensive research to develop and deliver medications appropriately based on numerous factors including: drug solubility, drug compatibility, drug mechanism of action, clinical indication, and patient preference. In addition, Katie has published several articles, including one in the International Journal of Pharmaceutical Compounding in conjunction with practitioners from Brigham and Women’s Hospital Oral Medicine Department.
While attending Northeastern University, Katie was a member of the Rho Chi National Pharmacy Honor Society and was an intern at both Biogen IDEC, and Tufts New England Medical Center.
