Tanner Murphy is an associate in the litigation practice group. He focuses on intellectual property and complex civil disputes, representing businesses as both defendants and plaintiffs in state and federal courts. Tanner strives to provide clients with beneficial outcomes that align with their business objectives. His practice includes:

  • Complex commercial litigation with a focus on patent and trademark infringement.
  • Development and patentability analysis for clients.
  • Assisting with Patent Trial and Appeal Board Procedures including interferences, reexamination proceedings, inter partes reviews (IPR), post-grant reviews, ex parte appeals, and other proceedings before the PTAB
  • Guiding innovative companies through the intricacies of patent invalidation challenges and litigation disputes with an emphasis on portfolio monetization

Tanner holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Miami where he graduated Cum Laude. He holds a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School where he graduated with distinction. In his free time, Tanner enjoys playing with his two black labs.
